Howard G. Smith, M.D. is a former radio medical editor and talk show host in the Boston Metro area. The FDA and the HEB company are recalling HEB Creamy Creations Light Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream. This ice cream contains undeclared wheat.  Those with a wheat or gluten allergy or with celiac disease could develop a serious allergic reaction after ingesting this ice cream.  The half gallon packages have a best buy date of Jan 6 2023 and were sold in HEB stores in Texas and Mexico and in  Mi Tienda stores in Texas.  If you have this ice cream in your freezer, don’t consume it.  Return it to the place of purchase for a refund.  For questions, contact H-E-B Customer Relations at 1-855-432-4438.
