The FDA and Relish Foods, Inc. are recalling Frozen Pacific Fusion Brand Tuna Steaks. These steaks contain elevated levels of histamines and, if ingested, can trigger an allergic reaction called scombroid fish poisoning of varied intensities. Symptoms of scombroid fish poisoning include oral tingling or burning sensations, facial swelling, rashes, hives, itch, nausea and vomiting, and diarrhea that can occur from minutes to several hours after eating the tainted fish. There affected lots have a production date of July, 2021 and a Best Before of July, 2023. These tuna steaks wee sold in Northern California by Save Mart Supermarkets and by Lucky Stores.
